Forever Family -Three months today!!!

Each time the 18th of the month rolls around, I am overwhelmed with joy and remembrance of that day.  The day we met Cheng-Yu for the first time.  My heart sings, dances and glorifies God.

We spent the evening having dinner at my sister's house.  A great way to celebrate the day!

Although Jackson & Ben Cheng-Yu haven't bought into the whole friendship thing yet, I am sure they will eventually.

Mother's Day Moments

Happy 9 Months, Cheng-Yu!

I just wanted to have a record of some of my feelings on this special day.

I felt tears of joy swell in my eyes when...

• Scott told me Happy Mother's Day with Cheng-Yu sitting in his lap at the foot of the bed
• my sister & nieces called this morning to wish me a Happy 1st Mother's Day
• I sang a praise song with Cheng-Yu in my arms at church for Mother's Day
• I watched Cheng-Yu with his happy grandparents
• I opened Mother's Day cards
• I received text messages and emails from special friends wishing me a Happy Mother's Day
• I hugged my sister on this long-awaited day
• Cheng-Yu crawled half way up my lap for the 1st time
• I rocked Cheng-Yu to sleep

My heart has also felt other emotions.  I pray for Cheng-Yu's birthmother, who has been heavy on my heart today.  -A mother that is dear to me.  We planted flowers for her today.

Also-some may say that it is a coincidence, but I see more... Cheng-Yu turned 9 months old today-Mother's Day.

watching your child encounter new things each day...like spaghetti!

Love Blooms

About 4 years ago, we purchased a Dogwood tree and planted it in our front yard.

Year after year, we have anxiously awaited beautiful springtime flowers but they

never came.  We have always thought we had a dud!  But not so...we now have blooms!!!
