Birthday Bash!!!

My first birthday as Ben Cheng-Yu's mother was a day I will treasure.  Celebrations are so much sweeter with him in our lives.  Ben & I slept until nearly 11:30 today...now that's what I call a birthday party!  I took him for a stroll around the neighborhood and tried to absorb God's grandeur in the nature that surrounded me.

Later in the afternoon, we headed to that fabulous Chattanooga Landmark...Lake Winnie!  We met Grams, Aunt Melanie, Madeline, Tori Bug & Riley.  Ben took his first amusement park ride on Dumbo...followed by the carousel & antique cars (this might be why he puked after dinner).  The kids had a great time.  And the adults did too!  Melanie insisted that I ride the cannonball since it was my birthday and all...woohoo!!!  I realize that it is a considerably small rollercoaster, but it might be classified as an extreme ride for me these days.  I did ride it and I did scream the entire time, providing much entertainment for the other passengers.
After we left the park, we headed to Provino's for my FREE birthday dinner.  It was 10pm, but you can't pass up a free meal!!!

Return to the Classroom

I went to work in the classroom today.  My friend Alisha and I thought the boys might enjoy playing together while we worked.  As you can see, they were less than enthused and totally unengaged with one another.  We are still certain that they will eventually bond!  Maybe they are just embarrassed about their matching backpacks.

Super Hero!

I think Carson is one of Ben's Super Heroes!  We can't wait to watch him play baseball.
