Gotcha!

5 months ago today, we held him for the first time.  In a way, time seems to have moved swiftly. But on the other hand, it seems as though we have been with him for years.  Life without Cheng-Yu?  I can hardly remember what that was like and it has only been 5 months.
I don't think the 18th of any month will ever pass without me thinking about February 18th 2009.
We went to the riverpark today and just enjoyed every moment.

Fortune Cookies

Tonight, we dined at Formosa.  Although this wasn't Cheng-Yu's first trip to Formosa, it was his first time to get his own fortune cookie.  Usually they only give us two.  Scott was holding him as I opened his cookie and I looked at him and said, "okay Cheng-Yu, this is your fortune"...I looked down and saw the words, You will have a fulfilling and peaceful life.  Of course my eyes filled with tears and I thought, what more could I want for my son.  And he can have that with Jesus Christ.  We are all assured peace and fulfillment through Jesus Christ.  I am glad we don't have to rely on a fortune cookie to have that assurance, but it sure touched my heart to open one up and see those words!

Today we went to Imagination Station.  Despite the incredible heat, we still had a great time.  There's not a lot that Cheng-Yu can do at an outdoor playground just yet.  You can only swing so much!  We are not big on shoes, but I did have him wear them today to avoid splinters and from the pictures you can see that the shoes were quite fascinating to him.  And Oh Boy!!!---He LOVES his cousins Madeline & Tori Bug!

Whoa, has anyone seen my taxi cab?
Got it!!!

This toy remains a favorite.  We may need a new one because he is wearing the wheels out.

Hanging Ten, Surf & Sand!!!

I was determined to find a sand & water table for Ben.  We found a small one at Target & he really likes it.  The part he likes best wasn't included...our dog, Bogie.  He loves it when Bogie drinks out of his water table.  We bought him the shirt & hackey sack at Ron Jon when we went to the beach this summer.  You know you just gotta have a souvenir t-shirt when you go to the beach.
