The Dawn of Discovery
Birthday Girl
4 months later...
As I drove down highway 27 to meet my mom, sister & girls at the Creative Discovery Museum I found myself crying as I reflected on my last visit to the museum 4 months ago. It was February 8th & the occasion was Tori Bug's Birthday Celebration. We enjoyed the family and dreamed about the day we could visit again with our son. I will never forget the little Chinese lanterns they had for celebrating Chinese New Year. It was a special family gathering. It was only 2 days prior to the "the call". The call in which God said, "it is time"---Time to get our son!!! Wow! Now that's a discovery. We were embarking on a whole new life.

On Tuesday, February 10th we were informed that we would need to make arrangements to pick up our son in Taiwan on February 18, 2009. When I read the email, I literally feel to the floor. We were really going to get him. (And we need to pack!!!)
All of these memories flooded my mind and heart as I drove down the highway. Emotional moments that I will never forget. Moments that strike a spring of tears in my eyes. It is completely overwhelming to look back over these moments through a new lens and to see God's hand. During those times I felt his presence, but looking back...I can see him there!
