Spring Break
On Friday, March 20th we got to spend time with a "family of friends" at Coolidge Park. It was a gorgeous day, but I think we may have spent one too many days at the park...Ben crashed on Leigh Ann!

Homecoming with the Holloways
On Thursday, March 19 we had some special visitors. It was so nice to have Jenny and her children come and spend time with us. Jenny & I met in 3rd grade and when we get together, it kinda feels like we are two little girls back in elementary school. Some things never change and for that, I am thankful! She was such a support to us on our adoption journey and she never stopped praying. The journey was long, but worth every moment and it made the homecoming that much sweeter!

Forever Family...Gotcha Day Remembered
4 weeks ago today, we held Benjamin Cheng-Yu in our arms for the very first time. Today, I just enjoyed every moment and reflected fondly on that life changing moment when I met my son, praising God for this incredible gift!!!
Ben had some great moments today...
Spending time with Grams!
Spending time with Mel, Madeline & Tori Bug
Playing outside, eating applesauce and saying Da-De (daddy)
Some questionable moments...
Getting licked in the face by Bogey!
Having his picture made with Bunny Rabbits
for Easter.
Not to mention the moment when Scott & I stuck
his feet in red ink so that we could put his footprints
in my prayer journal. Special for us, not so special
to Ben at the moment.
Ben's First St. Patrick's Day
For Ben's first St. Patrick's Day, we went to Coolidge Park with Aunt Mel, Cousins Madeline & Tori Bug and Leigh Ann met us there too. The weather was gorgeous and it was a perfect day. I think it was the first day that my sister and I have had a mommy's day out together! It really was special and I praise God for the opportunity to share time with her and the girls.
For our evening, we had Irish guests, The Freemans, over for pizza. It was a grand occasion. They brought Irish cupcakes from the Bi-Lo. Amazing cupcakes that according to the label, won't expire until early May...interesting! I don't think they were really authentic Irish cupcakes!
Meeting the McDaniel's
Sunday, March the 15th was a special day. Benjamin Cheng-Yu had been home for exactly 3 weeks...And he meet the McDaniel Family...more of HIS family. I met them when I was 5 years old and truly, they are like family to me. I don't remember life before them. It was so nice to visit with them and celebrate, like another homecoming for us! Funny thing, my friend Allison & I have been through many things together & now we both have baby boys...they are only about 15 YEARS apart! I remember her son, Brady, was about Ben's age on my wedding day.
Bob, Judy, Michelle, Alan, Allison & Brady-Thanks for everything! Scott and I love you, Robin
